Edward R. Murrow College of Communication – Storytelling in Greece

Trip Highlights

As part of my COM & COMSTRAT 475 courses through WSU’s Murrow College, I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad for about three weeks in Greece, exploring strategic communication, international branding, and storytelling firsthand.

Our task was to create a full marketing campaign for Ktima Gerovassiliou, a family-owned winery near Thessaloniki. My team developed a campaign targeting climate-conscious North American consumers ages 25–40, highlighting Malagousia’s vegan-friendly production, sustainable values, and mango-forward flavor.

I focused on research, messaging strategy, public speaking, and ensuring our story aligned with what wine lovers care about: authenticity, ethics, and immersive experiences. Presenting our work to a panel of judges and winning the competition was a surreal and rewarding way to end this global adventure.
